We know that joining your first class can be intimidating... you're worried you're too stiff... or you won't know what to do.... a flurry of questions and worries in your mind. We've welcomed over 300 new yogis through our doors who just like you felt nervous at first. We really take pride in our teaching with an ethos that every body is unique and we always look to offer variations so that our yoga classes are widely accessible.... and finally most importantly to ensure everyone is made to feel welcome at Jasmine Yoga. 
Below you will find some of our recommendations for classes you might like to join and some frequently asked questions. Plus we wanted to share some testimonials from our yoga community of those who came to Jasmine Yoga without having practiced before. Beginner Classes
We currently run two beginner classes each week on a Monday. 
We welcome you to our class if you are curious to begin your yoga journey and are keen to develop strength and flexibility and to progress into other yoga levels.
You will learn core postures and popular sequences such as Sun Salutations, at a pace to help you learn and understand the benefits of yoga and techniques for safe alignment.
Beginner Friendly Classes
Aside from our Beginner Classes we also have a number of other classes you might enjoy where we take a slower pace and welcome peace and mindfulness.

Do I need to have practiced yoga before?

No! We welcome anyone new to yoga, I'd recommend attending the beginner's class first, however always happy to discuss your options.

How much are classes?

£9.50 per one hour class and £11.50 for 90 minute classes, please see timetable page for your class details. We also offer class passes on the Book Now page so you can buy a bundle for a saving.

Do I need to book?

Yes please. We have limited numbers so please visit the Book Now page.

Do I need to bring a mat?

Yes, given our advanced safety measures please bring a mat or additionally you can hire on from Jasmine Yoga for a small fee. If you need advice on affordable mats, please contact me (Jo).

Do I need to be flexible to do yoga?

No! It's a common misconception that you need to be able to touch your toes to do yoga, quite the opposite! We do yoga so we can gain flexibility, and I promise, once you start a regular practice you will feel huge benefits!

What should I wear?

Comfortable clothing, leggings or shorts

Do you have changing facilities?

Yes, we have a toilet (male and female) and space to change on-site.

How do I know which style is right for me?

I'm always happy to offer advice based on your experience, current level of activity and desired outcomes. There is also information on the types of classes on the About page.

Are children allowed?

We welcome anyone over the age of 16 years old and we offer Teen Classes on a Thursday teatime.

Can I practice if I'm pregnant?

We offer gentle classes suitable for pregnancy beyond the first trimester, adaptations will always be offered.
