Pregnancy Yoga in Tynemouth

Celebrate this beautiful time giving you the opportunity to breathe, stretch and relax, bond with your baby and make new friends!

What to expect

We can offer you beautiful classes during this precious time, as you await the arrival of your baby. With a focus on easing you through yoga stretches in the 2nd and 3rd trimesters, preparation for labour and breathing practice - these classes are designed to help you build strength, confidence and feelings of wellbeing. A truly safe space to rest, relax and meet other like-minded women.
You do not need any yoga experience, adaptations are offered for all poses to ensure you feel safe and comfortable. Classes are suitable for beginning students and experienced practitioners.
Classes are 70 minutes long including time for an extended relaxation period and to chat with the other mums to be. £10 per class or 6 classes for £50 (can be taken any time).
Saturdays 1pm - 2:10pm at Tynemouth Sailing Club

Unlike other forms of exercise, yoga is non- competitive, offering a truly personal practice whatever your ability in a warm and respectful environment. You will be warmly welcomed into our Jasmine Yoga community regardless of your age, gender or ability.
There are far reaching physical, mental and emotional benefits to be enjoyed and gained from regular yoga practice. It particularly enhances strength, flexibility, coordination and balance. In addition to physical benefits, most yogis also experience significant improvements in mental and emotional well-being. It can help ease depression, low mood and anxiety, it can calm a busy hectic mind, and bring a sense of balance and tranquility.
Yoga can also have a significant impact on your self - esteem. The yoga philosophy teaches us to accept and respect ourselves and others  As you notice your body gaining in strength and flexibility, and you begin to feel calmer and more balanced, you may experience much greater self -love and acceptance.
