A Warm Welcome

We offer a range of different classes, whether you're new to yoga asana or an experienced yogi. Each day we have a mix of energising and relaxing classes, so you can join the session that's just right for you. Our studio is fully equipped with props like bolsters, blankets and blocks, you can bring your own mat or use one of ours. All of our classes weave yoga philosophy with a focus on accessible, safe practice.

Energising & Flowing Classes

  • Morning or Evening Flow

These are vinyasa flow in style which means we coordinate breath to movement, you can expect to develop Yang sequences into creative flows, to offer a heat building, energetic class. Whilst we do offer a range of variations, because of the page of the class, these sessions are suitable for those advancing from beginners classes.

  • Beginner's Flow

This class is perfect for you if you're brand new to yoga or you used to practice but are returning to the mat. You don't need to have done our Beginner's Course to join this, all are welcome.

We will slowly guide you through popular postures and sequences, helping you understand how to modify poses to meet your individual needs. You'll be helped to build strength in your body and improve your range of motion, as well as exploring breathing exercises and mindfulness techniques and yoga philosophy.

  • Energising Flow

This is a strong vinyasa flow class suitable for those of you with regular yoga experience. You will be invited to flow, build strength and enjoy a playful practice including arm balances.

  • Evening Hatha

This beautiful class will encourage you to slow down and breathe. Blending together standing as well as seated postures, hatha gives you time to really ‘feel’ your body building up heat and cultivating a sense of presence.

A lovely mid-week treat to find a sense of balance both on and off the mat.

  • Moving Meditation

You'll be guided through flowing sequences, paced with the breath to build morning energy and a sense of balance to take forward into your day. This practice is calm and rhythmic, it’s a wonderful way to connect to your breath.

  • Mandala Monday

Join Jo for a creative practice moving 360 degrees around your yoga mat, beautifully representative on the twists and turns of life, feeling lost and found, coping with uncertainty…. But lots of fun!

Rest, Calming and Relaxation Classes

  • Flow & Restore

This class is divided into three parts and is aimed at bringing a sense of calm and relaxation to busy, stressful lives. We begin by gently moving the body slowly and hypnotically, deepening the breath and tuning in with the sensations we experience.

We then move inwards, quietening our thoughts and breathing mindfully with some gentle stretches and poses. Finally, we relax our bodies and take our minds through a visualisation aimed at reducing stress and preparing ourselves for a beautiful sleep.

  • Zen

Join Steph for a mellow start to the week, flowing with the breath, tuning into sensations in the body and fluctuations in the mind.

We’ll then move down to the mat exploring areas of tension using props, followed by an extended savasana, then ending with some mindfulness before floating home. Dreamy!

  • Yin

This practice is one of quiet introspection, we invite the muscles to stay passive, while we stress the ligaments and joints. Yin is a beautiful complementary practice to our energising Yang classes. You find your shape (usually mat-based), move towards a stillness and allow time to pass by. Most poses are held for 5-10 mins each, which gives you time to explore the breath, sensation and a calm mind.

  • Restorative

A gentle practice to ease the body into a relaxed and peaceful state with some stretching movements and passive holds using lots of props for comfort and support. This is the most relaxing class we offer as we explore comfort in each posture.

This class will be quiet and introspective and taught by candlelight.

As this class involves relaxation, we recommend you bring anything to help you feel comfortable and relaxed, such as: a blanket, cushion, extra layers, eye pillow, thick socks.

Pregnancy & Postnatal Classes

In addition to our studio timetable classes, we offer beautiful pregnancy and postnatal yoga classes, here on the beach in Tynemouth. We have lots more information on this page if you want to discover more.
